About Christos
Overview
CHRISTOS is a high-end streetwear clothing company with its origins traced to Los Angeles, CA. The company was founded by three teammates turned life-long friends: Christian Baker, Nick Felix, and Meeko Smith. Initially inspired by nostalgic art, music and sports references predominantly from the 90's and beyond; Christos delivers premium quality, timeless style, and value to consumers worldwide. At Christos we seek to inspire the art of being; the elevation of existence.
The company is head quartered in California, and sources their material only from manufacturers inside the United States to ensure the highest quality. All garments are made with a distinct focus on fit and fabrication.
Our Purpose
Our purpose at Christos is to inspire the dream of elevation. This remains our guiding principle, from the products we design to the way our business operates. We seek to inspire those from all walks of life to elevate themselves to newer and better things.
Sustainability
Christos has been committed to long term sustainability from the moment of its inception. We believe that our future growth relies heavily on addressing our industries challenges. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and enabling social progress across the world. Each of our manufacturers have the following certifications:
No Sweatshops
Our manufacturers adhere to something called SA 800 for Social Accountability Management System, and FLO (Fairtrade Labeling Organizations) which are dedicated to alleviating poverty afflicting the majority of the world’s farmers and workers by setting and certifying the compliance of stringent, socially conscious production standards.
Extra Long Staple Cotton Only, No Short Staple Cotton
All of our cotton is ginned on “roller gins” that operate at much lower speeds in order to gently separate the fiber from the seed. In contrast, regular cotton is processed by high-speed “saw gins” which use a more aggressive system to break the fiber away from the seed.
Wind Mill Powered
Our manufacturers factories use Suzlon 1250 wind power to encourage green power and continue leadership in environmental production.
WRAP Certified
WRAP is an independent, objective, non-profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education.
Custom Milled Organic Cotton
The raw materials we use are grown within a global organic textile standards and certifications including Organic Exchange 100 Guidelines and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management System.
